Miniature Threaded In Line Load Cell

Tiny footprint, precise and robust

Tiny footprint, precise and robust

Description

Model LCM325 is a Tension and Compression Load Cell built for Endurance, Press, or Inline applications. The standard LCM325 Tension and Compression Load Cell model has a very robust construction available in 17-4 Stainless Steel, with male threads on both ends and a 10 feet long 28 AWG 4 conductor shielded PVC cable. You will also find options for external matched output or a Teflon cable readily available. For more capacity options range please see the LCM300 or LCM350.

The Tension and Compression Load Cell offers high accuracy and high stiffness. It has Nonlinearity of ±0.5%, Deflection of 0.001” to 0.002” nominal. The standard LCM325 Tension and Compression Load Cell can be customized to meet your requirements and most capacities are in our inventory, making them available for 24-hour shipping.

Product Highlights And Features

  • Miniature size
  • Fast response and low deflection
  • Robust cable strain relief
  • For use in both tension and compression

With a minimum height of 0.72in (18.3mm) and a diameter of 0.96in (24.4mm), LCM325 is a versatile, robust, and highly accurate miniature load cell for tension and compression measurement. The fast-response sensor has a robust construction that makes it suitable for a wide range of endurance, press, or inline applications and environments.

The LCM325 is now, in some capacities, available with a connectorized cable for easy connection and disconnection. The other capacities are currently offered in the standard version with an integrated cable.

Robust construction

The center covers are seam-welded to the sensor body, providing outstanding strength and enhanced protection against physical damage in addition to withstanding other harsh environmental conditions. A special heat treatment process has been applied to the flexure to improve durability, extending the life-cycle of the sensor. Additionally, IP64-rated housing prevents the ingress of dust and splashes of water from all directions.

High stiffness

The LCM325 has a high stiffness and high natural frequency response rates, hence maintaining accuracy over its entire service life. Together with the robust construction, this feature makes LCM325 an ideal load cell for dynamic applications.

Easy mounting options

The LCM325 has male threads on both ends for easy and flexible mounting options. In addition, the compact design allows you to mount it in different locations, especially in applications with limited spaces.

A wide temperature range

The LCM325 operates reliably over a wide temperature range of –45 to 200°F (–42 to 93°C) hence suitable for various applications and environments.

Plug in, plug out

Some LCM325 products (2000 and 3000lb capacities with M10x1.5-threads) are now offered with an integrated connector that easily disconnects a damaged cable, which saves time, leads to higher system availability and reduces total cost of ownership.

The 4-position micro cable connector is shown here with the keyed mating face to reduce mating errors. The image shows another model.

Conductor Braided Shielded Clear PVC

For the standard versions with an integrated cable, a braided shield physically covers the signal wires while blocking any interference from stray magnetic and static electric fields. Additionally, the metallic load cell housing blocks all interference and unwanted environmental conditions that would reduce the accuracy and reliability.

LCM300

High Accuracy

The LCM325 load cell provides enhanced accuracy, performance, and long-term stability. In particular, it has a nonlinearity of ±0.5%.

Best-in-class material

The exceptional quality of this sensor makes it highly durable and reliable. Its body is made of aerospace-grade 17-4 precipitation hardened stainless steel, which provides high strength, high hardness, low hysteresis and creep properties, and corrosion resistance over a wide temperature range.

Calibration included

Calibration included

The LCM325 has been tested by FUTEK’s world-class calibration department and is NIST traceable. We can also reduce hidden costs and setup time by calibrating your sensor with FUTEK electronics of your choice. In addition, we offer calibration to ANSI Z540-1 and ISO 17025 standards upon request.
