Single Point load cells are are a very popular choice and given its high accuracy and high reliability. They are also known as “platform load cells” as this is their most common application. Platform Load Cells are typically used in low capacity compact weighing systems.
Single point load cells are unique in that they can accept an off-center load (aka extraneous loads or off axis loads), which means that load sensor can accurately measure forces, weight and load that is not well centralized in the measuring point, therefore, allowing them to be highly precise in industrial applications.
The LSM230 Single Point Load Cell offers a slim design with an easy side mounting feature making it ideal for OEM applications. Utilized in both Tension and Compression, the Single Point Load Cell has a length of 2.12”, width of 0.50” and with a height of 0.57” it is well suited for any tight environment where space is limited. The LSM230 Single Point Load Cell is offered in 2024 Aluminum.
Although the LSM230 Single Point Load Cell is specifically built for low capacity applications, a built in overload protection provides the unit over 10 times the capacity that could take place during installation. As a part of FUTEK’s original product line, the LSM230 Single Point Load Cell can be modified or customized to meet your requirements. The standard models are available in our stock making it available for 24 hour shipping. Similar to our entire Load Cell product line this model is manufactured in the US and uses metal foil strain gauge technology.
