Description
The LSB303 S Beam Tension and Compression Load Cell offers a compact design for platforms, silos, or scales. The Standard LSB303 S Beam Tension Load Cell compression model has female threads, comes in 17-4 Stainless Steel construction (10 lbs – 300 lbs), with 5 feet 28 AWG 6 conductor shielded Polyurethane cable. It is also available in metric threads.
This S Beam Tension Load Cell model has a high accuracy with a Nonlinearity of ±0.05%, deflection of 0.01” nominal and an operating temperature of -60° F to 200° F. It can be modified or customized to meet your requirements and most capacities are in our inventory, making them available for 24 hour shipping. Similar to our entire Force Sensor product line this model is manufactured in the US and uses metal foil strain gauge technology.
In LSB303 Compression and Tension Load Cell Links, the strain gauges are set up parallel with the loading axis. When compression or tension force is applied, the wire component of the strain gauge changes its shape, thereby changing its electrical resistance. This change in resistance is directly proportional to the amount of force applied, thereby making it possible to determine the amount of force applied.
