Threaded In Line Load Cell

Accurate, connectorized and compact
Description
Model LCM525 is an In Line Load Cell built for Endurance, Press, or Inline applications. The standard LCM525 In Line Load Cell model has a very robust construction available in 17-4 Stainless Steel, with male threads on both ends and a 10 feet long 28 AWG 4 conductor shielded PVC cable. You will also find options for external matched output and metric threads readily available. For more capacity options, please see the LCM500 or LCM550.
The LCM525 In Line Load Cell offers high accuracy and high stiffness. It has Nonlinearity of ±0.2% and Deflection of 0.001” nominal. The standard LCM525 In Line Load Cell can be modified or customized to meet your requirements and most capacities are in our inventory, making them available for 24 hour shipping.
Product Highlights And Features
- Fast response and low deflection
- Notable Nonlinearity
- Robust cable strain relief
- For use in both tension and compression
- Miniature size
The LCM525 is a highly accurate miniature inline load cell for endurance, press, and inline applications. With a footprint of 5.0in (127mm) height and diameter of 1.25in (31.8mm), a key benefit of this sensor is its minimal impact in a threaded assembly, due to the uniquely slim diameter sizing of its cover in relationship to its threads, as well as its minimal cover height.
The high-quality sensor employs FUTEK’s advanced metal foil strain gauge technology that results in a highly sensitive and stable load cell with a high capacity that is well suited for a wide range of operating conditions.
The LCM525 is now offered with an integrated connector that allows you to easily remove the wire from the sensor like a plug from a socket. This new feature protects the sensor from cable damage, as you can easily replace a faulty cable without fully removing the sensor from the assembly.
Plug in, plug out
The updated version of this series features the 4-position micro receptacle. This gives the load cell greater flexibility and durability, as a damaged or cut cable can now easily be replaced, saving the user time, cost, and resources.
The 4-position micro cable connector is shown here on another sensor model.
Conductor Braided Shielded Clear PVC
For the standard versions with an integrated cable, a braided shield physically covers the signal wires while blocking any interference from stray magnetic and static electric fields. Additionally, the metallic load cell housing blocks all interference and unwanted environmental conditions that would reduce the accuracy and reliability.

High stiffness
The LCM525 has a high stiffness with a low deflection of 0.004in nom, which prevents overstraining the load cell when there are large forces, hence maintaining accuracy over its entire service life. Additionally, the robust construction combined with this high stiffness makes LCM525 an ideal load cell for dynamic applications.
High accuracy
The LCM525 load cell provides enhanced accuracy, performance, and long-term stability. In particular, it has a nonlinearity of ±0.2%.
Best-in-class material
The exceptional quality of this sensor makes it highly durable and reliable. Its body is made of aerospace-grade 17-4 precipitation hardened stainless steel, which provides high strength, high hardness, low hysteresis and creep properties, and corrosion resistance over a wide temperature range.

Robust construction
The center covers are seam-welded to the sensor body, providing outstanding strength and enhanced protection against physical damage in addition to withstanding other harsh environmental conditions. A special heat treatment process has been applied to the flexure to improve durability, extending the life-cycle of the sensor.
Calibration included
The LCM525 has been tested by FUTEK’s world-class calibration department and is NIST traceable. We can also reduce hidden costs and setup time by calibrating your sensor with FUTEK electronics of your choice. In addition, we offer calibration to ANSI Z540-1 and ISO 17025 standards upon request.
